Gray Shannahan joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Advisor in January 2010, shortly after graduating from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in business. Gray is originally from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, but during his time at Loyola Gray fell in love with the Baltimore area and knew that it would be the ideal location to start his new career. Gray quickly took to the financial industry, earning awards and accolades early in his career as he established a client base in the Baltimore area.
As his knowledge and experience grew, Gray’s clientele expanded to include people hailing from Washington, DC to New York City and now he has clients in more than 30 states. Gray specializes in working with families, individuals, and small business owners between the ages of 35 and 65 who work in professions such as medicine, finance, sales, engineering, and law. The one thing that all of Gray’s clients have in common is that they have a big vision for their futures and value Gray’s sound advice, professionalism, and holistic planning philosophy. Gray is a true professional who is committed to developing his knowledge and expertise to better serve his clientele. Gray has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation, which makes him highly qualified to tackle the complex and varied financial needs and goals of his clients.
In 2018, Gray took the next step in his career by combining practices with Bruce Palmieri, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU® to form Palmieri & Shannahan – a premier wealth management firm focused on creating thorough, personalized financial plans for each of their clients. Bruce, Gray, and their highly qualified team members share a passion for helping individuals, families, and businesses think through their goals and create a vision for their futures. Bruce and Gray have nearly 50 years of combined experience in the financial industry.
Gray’s favorite part of his job as an Advisor is seeing the life-changing results that a sound financial plan can help provide to his clients. He enjoys watching his clients buy a home, send their children to college, and enter their retirement knowing that they are financially prepared. Gray understands that his clients depend on him to help them reach their goals, and he works hard each day to live up to the commitment that he makes to them.
Gray and his wife Danielle reside in Severna Park, Maryland with their two young children, Graham and Ellie. Gray and Danielle enjoy visiting family & friends, taking the kids for bike rides, and venturing out on the Severn River on boats, kayaks, and paddle boards.
